About Omar's family

Hope for the Holidays

Jasi is a 21-year-old woman who tragically lost her mother two years ago. She misses her mother immensely on a daily basis, and even before her passing, faced many challenges. Despite these difficulties, Jasi has a strong desire to break free from this cycle of unhealthy choices and trauma. She has persevered through her emotions and challenges, and she is currently in her senior year at college, with plans to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Throughout her academic journey, Jasi has maintained excellent grades despite her emotional struggles. Jasi is determined to learn healthier coping mechanisms, establish safe and trusting relationships, and achieve her dream of becoming a veterinarian in the future.

About Jasmyn

Age: 21 | Gender: Female | Race: Bi-Racial/Multi-Racial

Jasi is the youngest child of 3. Although a young adult, she does not have many support systems to help offer guidance, nurturing, unconditional love, or support to show up just for her. Despite trauma history, she has pushed herself to make it through to college with amazing grades. She works hard and wants to continue to go on to vet school after she graduates. At school, she also works with animals on top of classes. She recently started to crochet and finished a latch hook kit her mother bought her prior to death. Jasi is unique in liking taxidermy or small trinkets that are "odd." She is trying hard to be more social and talk to others on campus. She wishes to form healthier connections and not return to unhealthy dynamics continuing in her family unit. In order to do this, we have discussed making her dorm apartment more comfortable, inviting, safe, and cozy.
